Company history

The Van der Graaf shipyard opened its doors in the 80s and started as a small family business. By the 90's the company had gained a strong foothold in the domestic market and rebranded with international customers. Thus, a simpler name - Graafship - was born.

Production .

On the eve of the world crisis in 2008, the company moved to Dordrecht and significantly expanded its list of services. Later on, this helped the shipyard to cope with the adverse economic situation. Together with the construction of boats under its own brand name, the company performs refitting, maintenance and contracting work for other Dutch shipbuilders.

Fleet

Graafship mainly builds large two- and three-masted sailing superyachts in classic style. One of the most famous projects was the 65-metre schooner Atlantic, reproduced from photographs and drawings in 1903.

Features

Graafship boasts its own foundry, which is rare even for larger shipbuilders. If necessary, the company will manufacture a custom alloy with aluminium or steel. Construction and repairs are carried out according to customer specifications by leading classification societies, including the Lloyd's Register.
