Company history

Back in the 70s, Walter Sigl, the future founder of Yaretti, spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Taiwan in the shipbuilding industry. When he decided to start his own company in 1987, he turned to John Lu, one of the founders and naval architect of Horison Shipyard, for help.

By 1994 more than 60 premium motor yachts, which were in high demand in European countries, had been launched at the Taiwanese shipyard.

The hostilities that started during the Yugoslav crisis deprived the company of a significant market share, so production under the Yaretti brand was temporarily suspended. Only in 2003 Walter's son - Rene Siegl - continued the family business and organized the company YHG Yachthandels, reviving the brand.

At present the production of Yaretti boats is stopped again.

Production

Yaretti did not have its own factories, it constantly used the Horison shipyard. The Taiwanese design bureau under management of John Lou was engaged in development of new models.

Model range

The range includes luxury boats from 15 to 25 meters in length. The company mainly produced gliding yachts with flybridge. Models have received extensive panoramic interior glazing and the Italian style smooth hull lines can be seen in the exterior.

Yaretti's boats were among the first to receive fiberglass hulls made using a revolutionary for its time technology of vacuum infusion. The yachts were therefore valued not only for their increased comfort, but also for their good seaworthiness and handling.
