About Morgan Yacht Corporation

Morgan Yacht Corporation was an American sailboat builder founded in 1965 in St. Petersburg, Florida by racer-designer Charley Morgan. Best known for the Out Island 41 (1971-1991, ~1,100 hulls) — a shallow-draft center-cockpit cruiser that became a charter-fleet standard — and the Morgan 24/30/34/41/45. Sold to Beatrice Foods 1968, acquired by Catalina Yachts 1984; Out Island 41 produced until 1993, then brand retired.
