Too design Company Profile

About Too design

Brand History

Studio founder Marco Casali was six years old when he tried sailing with his family on an old steel yacht called Akerboom. As a child, the future designer enjoyed painting boats, but never thought about how this might turn into his work. It was only after his education in architecture and experience that he returned to the sea. Casali spent six years working together with other specialists on projects for Ferretti, Bertram and CRN.

Kazali opened his own studio in 2004.

Philosophy

According to Marco Casali himself, his studio «sells happiness.

«If a boat does not make you dream, does not make you happy, then we have not achieved what is the ultimate goal of owning the boat. My approach to a project is always emotional, I try to put myself in the shoes of the owner. Before thinking about functionality, I try to imagine the emotions that the boat»must give," he says.

For Too Design, the boat is a kind of ottoman dress, for which the owner's wishes play a role.

Specialization .

Marco Casali's team is engaged not only in yacht design, but also in architecture, product design and exhibition spaces. This diversity allows the studio «to combine different worlds» in its projects and, as a result, to find non-standard solutions.

Cooperation with shipyards

Since its foundation, the studio has managed to create the exterior and interior for Itama, Bavaria, Silent Yachts, Greenline, Reale Yachts, Canados, Columbus Yachts, Rossinavi, NYX catamarans and ZL RIBs.

Since 2010 Too Design has been working with large custom boats from 30 to 110 meters in length which are being built at such yards as Benetti, ISA Yachts and Fincantieri.

In total there are more than 300 yachts in the world, designed by Kazali studio.

Landmark projects

The 13-meter motor project Bavaria Virtess 420 Fly, the first flybridge cruiser at the German shipyard, was a landmark, if not for the studio.

Kazali's desire for eco-friendliness was expressed in a catamaran on solar batteries Silent 80.

Founder

Most projects start with the interior. We try to create a sense of freedom when you're on the water, or to bring the owner and his guests closer to the sea. Privacy is important to our clients and many of them love yachting because it allows them to spend time with their children. All this inspires us to work and motivates us to create something new. I would hate my yacht if it was custom-built for me but was identical to ones that already exist. So we always work hard to make a customer's dream come true.
