40.4m Alloy KOKOTEA Superyacht at a Glance

Nuberu Blau (formerly Kokomo of London) was the fifth yacht commissioned by the same owner to design Ed Dubois. She was, in turn, the seventh to be created by the Ed Dubois/Alloy Yachts tandem. Before starting work on the yacht, the owner emphasized to the designer that he wanted a boat that was not just big enough to carry, but big enough to compete in the superyacht regattas that were becoming strong at the beginning of the century. This is why special attention was paid to the hydrodynamics of the new boat. For this purpose she was subjected to a series of modelling tests at Southampton University. The result is a hull with (thanks to the original keel profile) one of the highest lift/resistance ratios of any superyacht. In her first Millenium Cup she won one of the Cups and was already one of the largest yachts in the world. The interiors of Nuberu Blau are based on a harmonious selection of cherry wood (dominant in the interior) and walnut, combined with light fabrics adorning the bulkheads.
