Cyclos II is a mid-80's cruising and racing yacht, built with the prevailing views of the time in mind. She frequently makes long-distance voyages, from the Arctic to Polynesia, where she demonstrates good sailing qualities on sharp and full courses and excellent behavior in stormy conditions. This is due to the boat's comparatively narrow beam, which decreases gently towards the stern, a radical difference from today's yachts. The boat has a very high stability due to the large mass of ballast.
To protect the passengers and crew from the noise of the generators, the equipment is designed to run the generators for
only 3 or 4 hours a day. Today the yacht is mainly chartered to groups of long-distance sailing enthusiasts, whose experience makes it possible to partially refuse the services of a full-time crew.
