The Targa 46 is the top of the tree in the Botnia range. It may be the biggest boat in the range, but it will of course still perform because with the largest IPS engines it will crack 40 knots, and there's some really clever stuff going on with the layout of the accommodation and a surprise in there as well.

Engine Options and Performance

The Targa 46 comes with several engine options. The standard boat is equipped with twin 440 horsepower Volvo Penta sterndrives. There are also two IPS options: twin 480 horsepower or twin 600 horsepower engines. The IPS system also allows for a hydraulic bathing platform, which is not available with sterndrives. This platform can lower into the water and has a capacity of around 400kg, making it ideal for mounting a dinghy.

On Deck

The deck of the Targa 46 features high-quality details typical of Targa boats, such as dedicated fender storage, a transom shower with metal lids, and substantial rubbing strakes running around the boat and bathing platform. The cockpit is spacious, with options for aft-facing seats and additional director's chairs for outdoor dining. Storage is ample, with bins for ropes and a cooler under one of the seats for drinks.

The main living area features a wrap-around seating arrangement, a galley with fiddled edges to prevent items from sliding off, and a height-adjustable table.

The lower helm station is ergonomically designed with a fully adjustable suspension seat and a bench for additional passengers. The helm console is also adjustable, ensuring comfort for any driver. The forward cabin, considered the owner’s cabin, includes a split berth with an infill option, ample storage, and a private bathroom.

A recent addition to the Targa 46 is an extra cabin, accessed by lifting seats and opening saloon-style doors. This cabin includes a decent-sized berth, storage, and a small sofa, although it lacks a dedicated bathroom.

Engine Room

Engine access is excellent, regardless of whether you choose sterndrives or IPS. The layout ensures easy maintenance and includes dedicated storage for items like folding bikes. The director's chairs are stowed in zip bags, providing convenient and organized storage.
