Roman Abramovich's yacht fleet has long been surprising the public with its records: for speed, size, cost and more «the most». This time his 163-metre megayacht Eclipse has posted the biggest ever fuel bill, more than doubling the amount charged by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, owner of Manchester City football club in Turkey, for fuel for his Topaz.

The world's second largest private yacht called at a Croatian port this week to refuel. The Russian oligarch's vessel was ordered to refuel 750 tons of fuel, which is half the total volume of its tanks.

The amount billed for the payment for 40 tankers of fuel was about 1 million euros.

It turns out - the city of Dubrovnik earned €250,000 in VAT for Croatia in one fell swoop.

The Eclipse was built by Blohm+Voss at the request of Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, owner of the Chelsea football club «» . The ship, which has a 13,000-ton displacement, can accommodate 62 guests and 70 crew members and has an annual operating cost of about €30 million.

For three years Eclipse topped the list of the largest and most expensive private yachts in the world until the 180m Azzam eclipsed her, however paradoxical that may sound considering her name translates as «Eclipse».

It has everything you'd expect from a billionaire vessel: swimming pools, saunas, cinemas, beauty salons, restaurants, clubs and even a hospital.

The boat is also equipped with lasers to dazzle the cameras of curious paparazzi, anti-missile radars, a submarine, two helicopters, lifeboats and other security systems - everything to make the former chairman of the Chukotka Autonomous District Duma feel at ease.
