Last Friday April 28th the 42 metre steel and aluminium yacht touched the water for the first time at Overmarine's new production facility in Pisa. This is the second Oceano 42. The first hull, Namaste, was launched in June 2016.

Mangusta Oceano 42 is a tri-deck displacement vessel designed by Alberto Mancini. One of the highlights of the model is the spacious forward seating area consisting of two sunbathing areas adjacent to a pool with a waterfall that creates the feeling of an infinity edge. A hatch aft opens to create a platform over the sea overlooking the beautifully designed beach club.

The discreet light grey colour of Mangusta Oceanco 42's second hull accentuates the alternating convex and concave shapes of the yacht's profile and accentuates her graceful proportions.

The interiors are custom designed to fit the client's preferences. The yacht can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins. There is also accommodation for a crew of seven. The master stateroom opens onto a private terrace with sea views.

Glass is widely used on board. In addition to the large windows on the main deck, which let in a lot of sunlight, glass is also used in the pool area and in the aft hatch door. The second hull of the Oceano 42 is highlighted by a continuous line of portholes on the lower deck.

At a cruising speed of 11 knots, the yacht has a decent range of 4,500 miles.
