In September 2017, St Barth was almost swept away by Hurricane Irma. Nevertheless, just eight months later a major international regatta, Les Voiles de St Barth, was held here. Even though the island's infrastructure was not fully restored, 53 teams, including the famous Rambler 88 and Phaedo 3, took to the start of the regatta. This seems to be the best gift to an island whose economy is directly dependent on sailing. For what this special regatta was like, check out our photo selection.
