Company history
Pendennis Shipyard was founded in the UK by Peter de Savary after the purchase of the shipyard in 1988. Subsequently, the production facilities were moved to the docks in Falmouth.
From the first steps, the company was looking forward to success. First the 125 foot Taramber ketch was built, followed by the refit of the 228 foot Adix three-mast schooner. Both projects received the 1991 ShowBoats - Adix magazine award for Best «Repair and Taramber» was named Best Sailing «Yacht from 35m. This helped the small shipyard at the time to become world famous.
Pendennis has entered the new millennium as a confident player in the motor and sailing superyacht market and is not going to stop there. In 2010 the shipyard acquired Devonport Yachts, and a little later opened one more branch in Shipyard.Palma de Mallorca.
Production .
The company has two facilities at its disposal - in the UK and Spain. The boats are built at the shipyard in Falmouth, where over 400 people work. There are two dry docks with vessels up to 75 m, two assembly halls with the area of 1800 sq.m., carpentry workshops, warehouses, helipad and a suite for the «»clients of the shipyard.
The service centre on Palma de Mallorca provides boat service and repairs and there is also a petrol station.
Fleet
In 30 years, more than 30 ships of 23 to 55 m length have departed from the Pendennis slipway. The company started with the construction of aluminium and composite sailing boats on individual orders. At designing the manufacturer did not stop on any one style, therefore in a portfolio of sailboats there are boats both in classical execution, and with the most modern hi-tech design.
Since 1999 the shipyard has been adding motor superyachts for long distance crossings in steel and aluminium, and in 2011 the first sailing catamaran was born. The 44 metre multihull has been named the largest luxury catamaran and has won several international awards.
Almost every refit project is not without public attention. So in 2017 the 85-meter Aquila was named Best «Superyacht of the Year at the World» Superyacht Awards in the Refit category.

Pendennis has a good reputation for building non-standard superyachts. No matter whether it is a motorboat or a sailing boat, she will always combine bright design with performance.
