History of the company

Friendship Yacht Company was born thanks to the talented American architect Ted Fontaine, who opened the famous Fontaine Design Group in 2001. Ted had been designing sailboats for a long time and before expanding into the shipbuilding business he had worked with many leading shipyards. At the shipyard. Royal Huisman Pamina, Anakena and Surama were built in Holland and won Super Yacht Society awards. Ted Fontaine also worked with New Zealand's Alloy Yachts, the Dutch Jachtbouw and others.

Status

Friendship Shipyard continues its work and is a part of Fontaine Design Group.

Production

The shipyard's headquarters are located in Portsmouth state Rhode Islandand here on the shore of Narragansett Bay are the company's production facilities. The company also provides services in recovery and repair of sailing vessels of any complexity.

Model range

Ted Fontaine has been designing fast boats for competitions for many years, and this has had an impact on Friendship's model range: the company produces sports cruise boats from 11 to 23 meters long.

The shipyard's sailboats attract attention with their design in the style of classic yachts. Their smooth lines, round portholes and a large number of lacquered wood elements convey the atmosphere of the 20s and 40s.

Despite the classic look, the yachts are certainly different from their centuries-old counterparts. All modern control systems, including automatic winches, navigation and ship control systems and much more are installed here. These are comfortable boats made to order. At building the big volume of works is carried out by masters manually that guarantees high reliability and safety of sailing boats.
