Overview of Pendennis Shipyard Adela

Superyacht Adela was built at the very beginning of the last century and only miraculously survived - however, it is difficult to call a boat "survived" with only the keel and semi-decayed interiors remaining. But the original Wc Storey sketches were preserved, and Gerard Dijkstra used them to design the restoration. The result was a boat whose exterior and interiors have been faithfully restored to the original. She may be from the "golden age of sailing," but in fact she was built using modern methods and materials. In 2000 she underwent a major refit, lengthening the hull by several meters, designed and supervised by Hermann Frerer Sr. The owner tries to keep the yacht in perfect condition and the boat undergoes cosmetic repairs every five to six years.
