A year after the acquisition of the Perini Navi brand, The Italian Sea Group announced a brand-new and innovative sailing yacht range. The Genesis fleet now consists of three sailing projects with 48, 56, and 77-metre hull lengths.
The exterior lines of the new Perini Navi fleet reflect the classic aesthetics of the Perini style, world-famous for elegance and sobriety, with a contemporary twist. The clean lines of the new Perini boats blend harmoniously with elongated and continuous curvilinear trends, while expanded glazing welcomes natural light into the interior.
During the official presentation of Genesis on the 15th of March, Gianmarco Campanino, art director of Perini Navi, explained that it was vital to keep such iconic design details of the Perini Navi fleet as the bow line, double crystal line of glazing, eyebrows, and mahogany elements. And described the Genesis design as extremely harmonious, the yachts' layout as organic, and the atmosphere onboard as private and intimate. In fact, his design team took meticulous care of the guest areas both aft and forward. In particular, the sterns of the newly designed yachts become true leisure areas.
48-metre Perini Navi
The 48-metre sailing yacht has two versions: regatta and cruise. The cruise model features a stunning flybridge with steering and sunbathing areas. The regatta model, on the other hand, is open and sporty. Her two control consoles, with a series of joysticks, will facilitate safe control.
56-metre Perini Navi
The 56-metre sailboat will be a fruit of collaboration with Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design. Without delay, together with the studio, the shipyard will develop the naval platform and sail system, and also optimise the exterior styling. Unquestionably, the updated sail plan, with carbon masts, will ensure comfort and sailing performance through the Perini Navi sail handling system.
77-metre Perini Navi
Undoubtedly, the 77-metre Perini Navi will be the mega sailing yacht of the range. She will be available with the Falcon Rig. The system, mounted for the first time on the iconic Maltese Falcon, allows the elegance of the square sail combined with the upwind efficiency of the triangular sail. The sailboat will have two masts which give significant advantages both in navigation and safety.
Perini Navi yachts under construction
Four sailing vessels are currently under construction:
- First of all, the 47-metre catamaran Art Explorer designed by Axel De Beaufort is due for delivery in August 2023.
- A 60-metre sailing ketch with naval architecture by Ron Holland and interiors by Rémi Tessier. Delivery is scheduled for August 2024.
- A 56-metre sailing ketch signed by Malcolm McKeon and designed by Winch Design. Delivery is expected in July 2025.
- Also scheduled for delivery in July 2025, is a 47-metre sloop, for sale with Bruce Brakenhoff from Edmiston.
