About Rhea

The French shipyard Rhea Marine owes its appearance in 1996 to just one man, Bertrand Danglada, whom friends once asked him to build several boats. In 15 years, La Rochelle has seen the growth of a large factory that produces two lines of yachts. Fishing oriented. TimonierThe 7-11 m long Open models are distinguished by their traditional Mediterranean appearance and the presence of a closed cabin, while the open models of similar lengths are entirely designed for recreation.

In 2009 Rhea Marine introduced a range of larger Trawler flybridge yachts with transitional hulls designed for family cruises. However, the latter are not built in France, but at the factory of the Turkish company Borusan Marine, part of a large holding company and located on the outskirts of Istanbul.

All design studies for Rhea Marine are carried out by Joubert-Nivert Design, known for its successful sailing and motor superyacht projects, as well as the Beneteau Swift Trawler range.

The shipyard is proud to provide a high level of customisation for its boats and also offers models with hybrid diesel-electric propulsion systems: both are very rare in this segment.
