Company history

At the shipyard. «Pella Ford» a glorious past that dates back to Soviet times. In 1950 at the Leningrad Mechanical Plant No 4, which produced trailers, it was decided to establish production of small vessels: tugboats, fast boats, pilot boats. The next task for the enterprise was the construction of vessels made of fiberglass plastic, a new material for those times. Having passed through all the crisis periods and survived several renaming, today Pella «»joins the enterprises engaged not only in the production of various vessels, but also in their finishing and painting, as well as in the production and installation of equipment. Pella Fjord Shipyard is also part of this holding.«

Production .

The production is located on the banks of the Neva River in the suburbs. St. Petersburgwhere Catherine II once built a residence and named it Pella, according to the Finnish name of the place. That palace has long been gone (it was ordered to be dismantled by Paul I), and the historical name was given to the shipbuilding company. «Pella»Fjord Shipyard specializes in low-tonnage fiberglass vessels.

Model range

At the enterprise the durable and unpretentious pleasure boats which can be operated both with oars, and with an outboard engine are made; the boats intended both for walks, and for the service purposes, and also boats of various types.

Features .

The main feature is the advantage of the vessels manufactured at Pella Ford Shipyard -« the»material from which they are made. Fiberglass is strong and easy, does not demand special care, equally well feels in salty and fresh water, besides, maintains temperature from -5 to +45 degrees. Besides, the enterprise does not pochit on the laurels won back in 1960th, and constantly puts in perfection of technologies on work with fiberglass and building of courts from it.
