History of the company

The history of Core Builders Composites (CBC) began in Ventura, California. In 2001, the team, led by renowned shipbuilders Mark Turner and Tim Smith, began designing the International America's Cup USA 71 and USA 76. The work was commissioned by Oracle Team USA to participate in the America's Cup «2003».

Over the next decade, the CBC has built all the team's yachts, including the USA 17, a trimaran that won the 33rd America's Cup in «February» 2010.

With its 223-foot rigid sail-wing, it was the fastest sail in the history of the America's Cup and «opened the» door to a new era.

After Oracle Team's success in the «America's Cup,»Mark and Tim returned to New Zealand with their expertise and team of composite professionals. They have created a modern enterprise in Warquhart where they have engaged in manufacturing of various designs from composite materials.

After the Americans lost to the New Zealanders in 2017, and those on the rights of winners gave up multihulls for the next regatta, captain of Oracle Team USA Larry Ellison announced that he will organize their own competition, where everything will be as before. He has asked the CBC to build a series of twelve F50 winged catamarans for new races - SailGP.

Today Core Builders Company continues its work, it offers composite solutions for architecture, automotive industry, etc.

Production .

The highest accuracy is essential for both rigging and high-performance racing yacht construction. Warquaert has three specialized CNC machines capable of machining parts with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. This includes the CMS Poseidon, one of the largest of its kind in Australia and Oceania, a high-speed five-axis CNC portal machining centre.

Model range

The yard's range includes modern, custom-made sailing sports catamarans. Also, as practice has shown, capacities of the company enough to carry out small serial orders.
