Beachlander tenders are specialised support boats designed to bring passengers, crew, and equipment directly from a yacht to shore — particularly on beaches, shallow coastlines, and remote anchorages without dock infrastructure. Their defining feature is a bow that lowers, folds, or opens forward into a ramp, allowing step-off access onto sand or rock without passengers getting wet.
Beachlanders are standard equipment on superyachts and expedition vessels operating in remote or island destinations. Most combine utility with guest comfort: padded seating, sunshades, freshwater showers, and storage for watersports gear and luggage. Propulsion is typically outboard or inboard, and sizes range from compact runabouts to substantial multi-purpose craft.
Construction prioritises durability and stability for repeated beaching and shallow-water operation — aluminium and reinforced composites are the standard materials. High-specification beachlanders may include hydraulic bow ramp systems, suspension seating, or amphibious capability for full land-sea transitions.
