During typhoon Mangkhut, the 38.1-meter superyacht Tumberry Tres was swept away from her berth and thrown onto an embankment on the Sai Kung Peninsula in Hong Kong. Tumberry Tres is the first hull in Maiora's DP39 series. The boat was designed by Roberto Del Re and handed over to the owner in 2005. She has a top speed of 32 knots and 5 cabins to accommodate 12 passengers. In 2015 Tumberry Tres was sold for €2.25 million.

Typhoon Mangkhut swept through China earlier this week, causing more than $760 million in damage. In Hong Kong, wind gusts reached speeds of more than 110 km per hour and water levels rose 3.5 meters in some areas.
