Italian designer Roberto Curtó has unveiled a 63-metre superyacht concept called Hypnosquid. It was inspired by a marine creature from the mollusk family, the cuttlefish.
The LED false windows have a captivating irregular shape. They glow in the dark turquoise and are located on both sides, resembling the eyes.
The glow is again borrowed from the cuttlefish. The bodies of these creatures contain special molecules - luciferins, which when oxidized instantly give up the reserves of energy.
The abundance of glass brings a sense of freedom and unity with nature into the interiors.
Hypnosquid can accommodate a total of 10 guests and 12 crew members. The master suite is in a sense a duplex, as it encompasses two decks, the bedroom upstairs and the lounge and library downstairs.
The dining area for 12 is located on the main deck next to the galley so the guests can see the chef's cooking in action.
The upper deck features a wellness area with massage center, gym and cinema. A swimming pool with a waterfall is provided on the aft deck.
With a 2.9m draught, Hypnosquid is primarily designed for Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising, however she will also be capable of ocean crossings. The four 16V 2000 M96L engines provide a range of 3,000 nautical miles. A maximum speed of 30 knots is promised.
