Southern Wind Fado Overview

Fado is the fourth yacht in Southern Wind's 100 DS series of 100-foot yachts. Designed as a high-performance cruiser with racing characteristics, the yacht has been extensively built with heavy-duty Kevlar and carbon fibers and is constructed using infusion technology. She has one major difference from previous boats in the series: at the owner's request, the draft has been increased from the usual 3.60m to 3.95m. The bulbous form was also optimized, and the standing rigging was replaced by an especially light PBO rigging.

Unfortunately, soon after her delivery, the owner had some serious problems and today she is in the hands of the shipyard, offered for sale at the modest price of $6.5 million for a 100-footer.
