The Saint Petersburg International Boat Show took place in St. Petersburg from 3 to 5 of September. In spite of rainy weather and repair works at the entrance to the Imperial Yacht Club, the show was visited by more than 1500 people.
More than 50 yachts from Russian and foreign shipyards from Europe, the USA and China were presented at SPIBS. Domestic yachting market was represented by «Sportsudprom» (brand NorthSilver), Velvette Marine and «Compan Marin» (Adventure).
Large yachts at the berth of Imperial Yacht Club were next to RIBs and cruise boats. The length of the largest boat was 23 metres and the smallest was 6.5 metres. And the most unusual model of St. Petersburg boat show was carefully restored German steel travel motorboat built in 1933.
Several delivery contracts were signed at the exhibition. This is probably the most important indicator of success. The organizers are already planning the next SPIBS - a day longer and with a more extensive exposition.
