Lamborghini Aventador Anniversario Edition → Aventaboat
Angular and streamlined at the same time, the yellow and black Aventador is instantly catching attention. It is no wonder that one of the owners, who has been in love with his roadster for several years, dreamed of creating a boat in his image. In the end, magnate Gino Gargulio paid Marine Technology Inc. to build the boat of his dreams.
The world saw the Aventaboat on a show in Miami.
The audience has come from the boat delighted, which can not be said about the critics. «The boat is tasteless, it screams like that: «I'm rich and bored»," said former BBC journalist Quentin Wilson.
The 48-foot catamaran has similar features to the prototype: the characteristic color of the hull and cockpit, which was designed by Visual Imagination's Mark Morris, and the extraordinary power.
The boat is now equipped with two Mercury Racing 1350 engines (1350 hp each), then they will be replaced by even more powerful Racing 1650 engines. At the price it outpaced the «Lamborghini»: Mr. Gargulio had to pay $1.1 million for it, while the car cost «only» $750 thousand.
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 → ZR48
To tell the truth, it was not only Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 that inspired Marine Technology Inc. to create a motorboat: the ZR48 MTI combines the features of a modern car with the Stingray oilcloth from the mid-60s.
The boat and supercars have much more in common than you might think. Several parts from prototypes were «transplanted» into the boat at once. For example, the steering of the Corvette ZR1.
The ZR48 MTI uses two Mercury Marine engines of 1,350 hp each, has a powerful audio system on board, a DJ booth with five TVs and 900 LED backlights, accelerates to 180 miles per hour and seats six passengers.
It costs $1.7 million. This includes not only the ship itself, but also a specially shaped trailer. Any other catamaran can't be transported for a clear reason - it's modest and non-standard in size.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG → Huntress
Last year at a boat show in Miami, the public was shown a new version of the boat Huntress from Cigarette Racing and Mercedes-AMG. The high-speed boat was inspired by the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG SUV.
The boat looks a little old-fashioned and resembles the prototype very remotely, but since the creators say «they are similar» - we have to believe.
The 42 foot long and 11 foot wide version of the brutal boat is powered by five Verado 350 SCi Mercury Racing gasoline engines, which allow it to reach 68 knots. This speed is expensive: in one minute «a five» eats 9.5 liters of fuel. However, those who can afford Huntress, such expenses should not scare (the boat costs about $750 thousand).
For those wishing to take a break from rabid speeds, there is a cabin on board, made in beige and white tones and equipped with everything you need.
Ferrari → MTI 44RP F440
The shipyard, which designed the boat in the style of Looney Tunes cartoons, seems to make boats inspired by cars, so Marine Technology Inc. created the MTI 440RP F440. This fast catamaran pays tribute to Ferrari sports cars (it is not clear which model was the basis for it).
The boat looks like a Ferrari both inside and outside.
The boat is painted in the company's red color and has a cockpit, which is made in the style of car interior, complemented by a MOMO Ferrari rudder, authentic air intakes and a replica of the H-shaped gearbox.
The bottom-up doors of the vehicle imitate the lifts that open the recesses under the engines (in this case, a pair of Mercruiser 1200 diesel engines).
The 44-foot catamaran is now actively sold on the Canadian aftermarket. You can buy it at a price of about $600 thousand.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG → Cigarette Racing 46' Rider AMG.
In 2010, Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing joined forces to create a boat «inspired by» Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Looking at the yacht and the car separately, you can never say that they are somehow connected. Nearby, however, they look surprisingly harmonious.
The 46-foot boat is covered with white and silver paint, it accelerates to 117 knots (210 km/h) and is powered by two V-shaped bi-turbated 9-liter Mercury Racing engines (1350 hp each).
For comparison: the prototype is satisfied with only one engine with a volume of 6.3 liters and an output of 571 hp, but guarantees higher speed - up to 317 km/h.
A high-speed vessel costs about $1.2 million.
