Artemis Racing has officially announced its participation in «the America's Cup» during a press conference in Stockholm. The application was made with the help of Royal Swedish Yacht Club.
Also Artemis Racing told about a program for Swedish students - young people are invited to become interns in the team's headquarters and spend about 12 months working for the team and gaining professional skills.
«Artemis Racing will compete against Team New Zealand, Ben Ainslie Racing, Luna Rossa and Team France in the 35th America's Cup».
Recall that the previous America's Cup «» was an unfortunate one for the team. Crew member Andrew Simpson was killed during training and the racing catamaran was badly damaged during the accident. Replacing the vessel, however, did not help the team recover.
