World Championship in RC44 class ended on August 17 in Marstrand, Sweden. The winner of the competition was Russian team «Battleship», managed by Vladimir Lyubomirov. For the first time the Russian team managed to become the champions of RC44 class.
The victory allowed the crew to move up to third place in the overall fleet racing standings. The team is three points short of the championship for the season.
Second place in the fleet races went to Team Charisma (Monaco), while third place went to Team Aqua (UK). Fourth place went to Peninsula Petroleum (Great Britain), and Team Nika (Russia) took fifth place.

The final round of the races will be held in Oman from November 19 to 23. The results will determine the best teams of the season. Previously the RC44 class races were held in Virgin Gorda, Cascais and Sotogrande.
