An artist from Amsterdam has presented a new installation to the public: Leo Van Muenster has placed a yacht on Gustav Mahler Square.

The brand new vessel is part of a project called Fortune. According to the artist, it is supposed to make the public think that a tsunami swept through the city. The installation symbolizes the chaotic nature.

«The boat is mounted at a tilt, which not only means that it cannot continue on its way, but also that its position can be corrected and it can move on»," Munster says.

The Elling shipyard manager is fully behind the artist, which is why he has had no problem lending him his company's vessel, the Elling E4

.

The boat will stand in the middle of the Dutch capital until 28 March.
