Arcadia Yachts brings to Cannes two new superyachts and a Sherpa mini-explorer

The world premieres of the Arcadia 85S and Arcadia 100 will take place at the Cannes Boat Show. The Arcadia Sherpa mini-explorer will also be demonstrated on the water for the first time. The boats will be available for press test drives by appointment.

All three yachts are from the GRP line of Arcadia Yachts and feature a number of similarities. They feature the NPL semi displacement hull designed by the National Physical Laboratory in England.

This shape combined with the lightweight superstructure guarantees the yachts fuel efficiency with good sailing characteristics.

The entry-level boat in the GRP range, the 16.8-meter Sherpa, accelerates to 25 knots and spends only 43 liters of fuel per hour at 12 knots.

The 25.9m 85S will top out at 18 knots and may travel up to 850 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The 31m Arcadia 100 will also cruise at 18 knots. At 14 knots she consumes only 151 litres of fuel per hour, at 13 knots her consumption is limited to 49 litres per hour, considerably less than other yachts of her size.

The superstructure of each Arcadia features latest generation solar panels. They generate 3.5-5 kW of power, depending on the model of boat, which is enough to power most of the equipment and electronics autonomously.

When the yacht is at anchor the solar panels can power all systems other than the air conditioning, resulting in reduced emissions, vibration, noise and fuel consumption.

Each panel contains a special krypton gas to provide optimal thermal protection for the interior, which is equivalent to a 20-centimetre brick wall.

Finally, all three yachts have a new observation flybridge that turns into a fully enclosed third deck thanks to innovative windows (they can be raised and lowered like in the car) and a hardtop.

On the larger Arcadia 85S and Arcadia 100 the flybridge becomes a multifunctional cockpit with additional control station, sofas, wet bar, and sun deck.
