The Oman Sail team has set a new record. Sidney Gavinier's crew managed to sail around the UK and Ireland on the multihull in 3 days, 3 hours, 32 minutes and 36 seconds.
This is 16 minutes and 38 seconds faster than the previous record set in 2011.
The team is insanely proud of their achievement and notes that much of the credit goes to the 70-foot trimaran MOD70, which was cruising at around 30 knots the entire Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race.
