Burevestnik Group has been awarded the management of a new harbour - the project «Sochi Grand Marina», which is being implemented as part of a project to develop the southern city's port area by Russian shipping company OAO «Sovcomflot».
Burevestnik Group took part in the competition and won several competitors such as IGY MARINAS, Camper & Nicolson, D-Marin. Now the yacht holding intends to invest more than 100 million rubles in the development of the facility.
Construction of «Sochi Grand Marina» was timed to the Olympics 2014 because there was a need of a modern yacht transport infrastructure for the guests of the event. Now, the project's priority is the development of sailing, including children's and youth yachting, as well as water tourism.
At the moment «Sochi Grand Marina» can accommodate up to 290 yachts (including vessels up to 140 meters long). In the next five years Burevestnik Group plans to increase the number of berths to 360.
