The wind, which reached 35 knots, added drama to the finale of the Sailsof the White Nights regatta. The races were held in historical centre of St.Petersburg on June 4-8. The Russian and French crews fought for the first place. In the end, the crew led by Vladimir Lipavsky succeeded in beating Pierre Kirogh's team . "Sails of White Nights" was held for the anniversary tenth time. This year, for the first time, the competition received the status of the European Championship.
