In La Spezia, Italy, on the Ligurian Sea, the 55-metre Severin's, the largest yacht in the recent history of Baglietto Shipyard, which has been operating successfully for 165 years, touched the water in a truly festive atmosphere. The new era for the yard began in 2012 when Gavio Group took over ownership of the vessel.

«The launching of a new yacht is always a special moment. I would like to thank her owner for placing their confidence in us and all the people who have made this dream a reality»," said Michele Gavino, CEO of Baglietto.

The exterior of the displacement boat, representative of the T-Line range, was designed by longtime friend of Baglietto Francesco Paczkowski (Francesco Paszkowski). The interiors, from first to last touch, are the work of Margherita Casprini.

Severin's was originally designed with chartering in mind.

Severin's can accommodate ten guests in six staterooms and her comfort is second to none. The main deck is dedicated to the owner and his family. The upper deck features a flexible stateroom that can be converted into a games room or a massage room. The panoramic marble elevator will keep the stairs taut and the fully-equipped gym will make up for any lack of exercise.

Tenders and assorted water toys are stored in the forward section, making more space for the beach club aft.

Powered by twin Caterpillar 3516C DITA engines, Severin's cruising speed is a respectable 12 knots and her maximum speed is 17 knots.
