Italian shipyard Rosetti Superyachts together with Meccano Engineering have unveiled an interesting superyacht concept - 65-meter ProjectOrca.

The boat's designers were inspired by marine life, namely orca, also known as«killer whale».

«These marine mammals, instantly recognisable by their distinctive black-and-white colouration, are found from the Arcticand Antarctic to the tropics. Our expedition yacht is the same» , says Rosetti Superyachts CEO Fulvio Dodic(Fulvio Dodich).

Project Orca replicates its living prototype as much as possible. For example, the mast with radar satellite system resembles a dorsal fin, while the glow-in-the-dark white insertion on the owner's deck level with a master suite withseparate bathroom, dressing room, gym and large terrace - a reference to the very white spot that's under every orca's eye.

An impressive 12 metres beam and 1,300 gross tonnes of gross tonnage give witness to an enviable spaciousness on board. Project Orca can accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms and 12 crew members.

«The standard aft area is fully dedicated to stowage of tenders, water toys and even a submarine with snowmobiles, as well as a helipad». At the same time, if desired, its entire area can be occupied by sun beds and deck chairs, corner sofas with beach umbrellas, landscape pool.

«Powered by two CAT 3512 engines,», the steel fish will travel 5,000 nautical miles at 12-knot cruising speeds without refueling.

«Specifications for the creation of the project have already been developed. If we can find a buyer for Project Orca tomorrow, we will be ready to start building»," says Fulvio Dodic.

The yard estimates the timeframe for construction at 36 months.
