About

Company History

The first steps to the Azimut Yachts shipyard were taken by the enterprising Italian Paolo Vitelli in 1969. As a student, he organized his first business and started chartering. His desire to move forward led to the expansion of the company to the sale of boats. A little later he set up his own design studio and started designing new boats. In alliance with Dutch Amerglass, the first boat, the AZ 43 Bali, was produced, the success of which contributed to the development of the company.

In the 70-80s the shipyard focused its production on the smallest and largest fiberglass models at that time. In 1977, the company launched the legendary 32 Targa, which made it even more popular. In 1982, the 105 Failaka was born, which was the largest fiberglass production boat of that time.

In 1985 Azimut acquired the legendary Benetti shipyard with more than a century of shipbuilding history behind it. The purchase proved to be a profitable investment and allowed the firm to become an industry leader.

Production

The company has production facilities with a total area of more than 300,000 square meters, which are located in Italy and Brazil. The shipyard focuses on the automation of work processes, but at the same time keeps an eye on high quality, leaving complex tasks to man. Azimut Yachts is also developing its own technology to improve safety and comfort at sea. Annually more than $100 million is spent on updating the model range, production and new research.

Azimut Model Range

The shipyard is building 40-100-foot motor yachts and extravagant high-speed megayachts over 100 feet long. The company's range includes over 20 models, divided into six lines.

The Flybridge Line offers a range of luxurious flybridge yachts that are designed for cruising and entertaining. The Magellano Line is a series of luxury motor yachts designed for long-range cruising. These yachts are characterized by their semi-displacement hulls, which provide a smooth and stable ride in rough sea conditions. These yachts offer a combination of performance, style, and comfort at an affordable entry price to the Azimut brand that make them an ideal choice for those who want to enjoy entertaining on the water.

The Azimut Grande Line is a series of luxurious and spacious motor superyachts designed for long-range cruising and comfortable living at sea. These yachts are characterized by their elegant lines and large volumes, offering plenty of interior and exterior space for owners and guests. The current Grande production lines contains 7 models ranging from 85 to 115 feet in length and are the pinnacle of Azimut's dedication to luxury craftsmanship.
