Imperial Yachts has announced the sale of a limited edition 55m superyacht from Dutch yard Amels. Her exterior was designed by Tim Heywood and the interior by Laura Sessa.
Little is known about the Amels 180. One of the most eye-catching features of the 180 is the enormous 155sqm sun deck with a large Jacuzzi. The boat also boasts a large swim platform with beach club and steam room.
The saloon and the master suite in this series are equipped with foldable balconies. The interior has enough space to comfortably accommodate 12 passengers and 12 crew members, not counting the captain. Top speed is 15.5 knots. At a cruising speed of 13 knots, she will have a range of 4,500 miles.
The sale of the Amels 180 Limited Edition was handled by Imperial Yachts. The company will act as the owner's representative for the duration of her construction, which will be completed in spring 2017. The superyacht was the seventh Amels hull sold by Imperial Yachts since 2009. The broker also our buyers of the 52-metre Unity, 55-metre Astra and 60-metre Event.
The limited edition was first presented by Amels at the Monaco Boat Show in 2005. Since then the yard has delivered more than 20 Limited Edition yachts to owners.
