Tanguy LaMotte, who dropped out of the Vendee Globe round-the-world solo race after the Initiatives Coeur lost its mast, can rest easy: his boat has already circled the globe several times in record time (at least its smaller cardboard version). After all, there are sailing fans in space, too! Astronaut Thomas Pesquet photographed the model Coeur aboard the International Space Station.

The solo non-stop circumnavigation of the Vendee Globe started on November 6. Twenty-nine skippers participated and three withdrew. In addition to LaMotte, Vincent Rioux and Morgan Lagravière dropped out.
