The last races of the super series TP52 took place in Porto Cervo

I don't think anyone can call the final of the series simple. The race, which was supposed to last five days, in the end took only three: because of the Mistral, the race was cancelled first on 24, and then on 26 September. As a result, only 9 races were held. In six of them, the best was the team Sled from the United States. Two more times the crew was second. It is logical that with such a brilliant result this team was the winner of the stage in Porto Cervo. However, at the end of the season the crew was only the sixth.

«Gold of the» series for the third time since 2012 went to the Italian team Azzurra. In the finals, the crew won only «silver», but this has not affected the overall result of the team.

Second place in the season again, for the third consecutive year belongs to the German Platoon. In Porto Cervo the team took an honorable fourth place.

To get «silver» both at the end of the season and at the stage in Porto Cervo American Quantum Racing lacked only two points. Interestingly, throughout the existence of the series Azzurra and Quantum Racing stable every year «changing» each other in the position of champions. The Americans managed to last two years in a row only in 2013-2014.

The fourth place in Porto Cervo and the fifth at the end of the season was taken by the Russian «Battleship». This season was the most successful for the team in the history of its performances in class: two medals of the stages, including bronze at the World Championships - the first medal of Russia at the championship TP52 since 2010. On«the one hand, it's a shame that we couldn't finish the season in the top three, although the prerequisites for that were there. On the other hand, after a year's break in 52 Super Series, we came back and won two medals in five stages and lost just over 10 points to the first three in the season. This is a significant progress, which should be further»developed, - said the skipper of the team Vladimir Lubomirov.

Next season starts in Cape Town, South Africa on March 2, 2020.

Sled

TP52, 52 Super Series regattas ended on September 28. The competition started on May 21st at the Bodrum International Yacht Club, then on May 21st at Cascais. Menorca, then the fleet awaited Cadiz(in June), Cascais (in July), Mallorca (in August) and finally , SardiniaFor the Russian team«Battleship» this season was the most successful in the history of its performances in the class: two stage medals, including a World Championship bronze - the first Russian medal at the TP52 championship since 2010.
