Builder Ortona Navi
Ortona Navi produces custom built luxury boats in the superyacht market which are presented here. The shipyard has no current production line models available.
Angelo Ficcadenti's journey from the first thoughts of his own shipyard to a functioning production facility took only one year, opening Ortona Navi in 1974. The company's goal was to introduce automated technology to sailing superyachts to reduce crew size. With this in mind, new vessels were designed. As a result, the sloops and caches of the shipyards are in great demand all over the world.
In the 90's the company received orders for cargo ships and boats for the fire brigade, which helped the company to gain experience that led to a new direction - motor superyachts.
It is in operation.
The company started with one workshop with an area of 1200 square meters. Today, the modern factory in Ortona, Italy, has 15,000 square meters of indoor space, including assembly hangars, carpentry workshops, metalworking shops, etc.
The shipyard builds fully custom superyachts in the range of 30 to 50 meters for long voyages. The company is also known for converting merchant and military vessels into megayachts.
Ortona Navi was one of the first to take steps to optimize the management of large boats. Her vision had a significant impact on the industry and the shipyard's experience has been adopted by many shipbuilders not only in Italy but also abroad.
