«Australian fishermen caught an unusual fish»: The yacht, which was in 90-meter depths, 170 kilometers from the shore, got its mast caught in the nets. The crew of the fishing vessel, owned by Australia Bay Seafoods, immediately reported the catch to police.

Law enforcement officers moved to the scene of the wreck to investigate the details of the incident.

«We don't know what may have happened to the vessel, whether there was crew on it»," a police spokesperson explained.

«The sailors may have been rescued by a passing ship. It's also possible that everyone drowned. We have made inquiries to find out whether any people or vessels have gone missing in Australia, but it has not yielded any results. The situation has not cleared up».

According to experts, the yacht has been underwater for about 8-10 months. The sails entangled in the nets and raised to the surface along with the mast were made in Sydney, but authorities do not rule out that the vessel could have been non-local - it could well have drifted and come from Indonesia. The model and size of the yacht was not specified.
