Sunseeker shipyard managing director Stuart McIntyre is stepping down from his position, The Guardian reports. The top manager has worked at Sunseeker for five years and will leave the post at the end of July. The official reason for the departure is «the need to engage in other projects».

Until the company's owners elect a new CEO, founder Robert Braithwaite will manage the business.

The man who gave birth to the famous brand in 1968 will work alongside other top managers in Poole.

The new CEO will be followed by a selection of two independent directors who will advise and supervise the yard.

Less than a year ago the British shipyard Sunseeker was acquired by Chinese investment group Dalian Wanda Group. The Chinese bought 91.8% of the shares for £320 m. The new owners of the company are particularly interested in promoting the brand on the Asian market.
