Tourists discovered an overturned 9-meter yacht in the Ussuri Bay off the coast of Shkotovo District. The vessel was examined by divers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who found the upper part of the deck and engine missing, as well as traces of fire on the hull. Also the name of the yacht became known - «Dolce Vita».
Investigators identified the owner of the yacht and found her acquaintance, who said that on August 10, at the request of the shipowner he towed the yacht from the berth «Nico-Oil DV» in the direction of Tavaiza Bay for later disposal. In April, there was a fire aboard «Dolce Vita».
While towing, the cable broke and the yacht capsized and sank. A man decided to leave his boat in the place where it was sunk and did not report it to anyone.
The owner of the yacht is currently overseas.
The investigation continues and a procedural decision will be made based on its results.
