On 21 January, the opening day of the Düsseldorf Boat Show, the best European powerboats of 2017 were named. The winners of the prestigious European Powerboat of the Year award were chosen by a jury of eight editors from Europe's leading powerboat magazines.
In the 35 to 45 foot category, the prestigious award went to the Jetten Beach 45. The jury praised the boat's innovative design and excellent build quality. « This boat could be called a loft on the water»," said one of the jurors.
Jetten introduced the new «beach» series of boats at last year's Boot Dusselforf. The series consists of 6 models from 45 to 85 feet.
With a Fast Displacement type hull designed by Van Oossaanen Naval Architects, the aluminum Beach 45 reaches 24 knots while being an economical and comfortable yacht.
Thanks to this hull type, they consume up to 20% less fuel at cruising speed than their semi-displacement and displacement counterparts.
At 9.3 knots, the Jetten beach 45, powered by two 300 hp Volvo Penta D4s. (the top of the range), consumes 18.9 litres of fuel per hour. By comparison: A 44-foot steel displacement yacht with a Deutz 125 kW diesel at the same speed consumes 31.5 litres of fuel per hour.
She is designed by Cor D Rover studio. The main task of the designers was to give a feeling of proximity to the water onboard thanks to the wide panoramic windows, spacious outdoor seating areas and the use of natural materials in the decoration. The interior has a modern interior design with a choice of four different finishes.
