Hurricane boat shows are no hindrance. FLIBS starts on November 1

«Although Hurricane Irma» raged in Florida more than a month ago, preparations for the annual Lauderdale International Boat Show are in full swing. The International Boat Show will be held in Fort Lauderdale from November 1-5.

Some 1,000 builders from 30 countries are expected to participate, bringing with them the best and brightest of what the boating world has to offer today.

The 58th largest boat show will feature 13 kilometres of temporary floating docks, with free shuttle or water taxi services available in between.

Some 300,000 square metres of space will feature more than 1,500 boats from budget boats to the most luxurious superyachts. Moreover, visitors will be able to see new electronics, fishing products and other accessories for yachting.

The largest superyachts on show this year will be the 78.4m TV from Lurssen and the 72.25m CloudBreak Abeking & Rasmussen, which won the World Superyacht Awards in May, will be in the spotlight this year.

Also in the top five largest boats are the 65m Double Down from Codecasa, the 63.7m SuRi from Halter Marine, and another giant from Codecasa, the 62.5m Apogee.
