The organizers of Boot-2014 have to pay tribute - in these difficult times they managed to fill the huge area of 17 pavilions of the exhibition center Messe Desseldorf literally everything that is missing for people who prefer to walk by sea rather than by land. It is also worth paying tribute to yacht lovers - they continue to invest in pleasure, and those who wanted to find a new boat did so. (While the majority of people are not talking, some shipyards have already shared their successes, such as Hanse and Oyster, which sold the 825). It was estimated that the show was attended by 248,600 people, as for the exhibitors, this year it was 1661 from 60 countries.
We reviewed seven of the brightest boats of the season shown in Düsseldorf. We'll start with the motor boats, in descending order of size.
80 to 90 feet.
Boat one: Azimut 80
The Italians took the natural light pouring into the salon with awe and did everything to multiply it - huge windows, «grooves» in the bulwarks, light tones in the interior - a real Mediterranean boat with a modern design and thoughtful outdoor recreation areas. Huge bow - with sun beds and a sofa with awning, a field for relaxation on the flybridge and a cozy cockpit.
Note the convenient location of the bathroom in the master cabin - it is located behind the rear wall and has two entrances / exits, it is convenient to enter from either side of the bed. Owner and crew areas are well delineated. However, the sailors will have to be recruited low, the door to the crew quarters is not designed for people above 175 cm.
Boat Two: Wim van der Valk Continental III 26.00
The aluminum Dutch Continental line is designed by Guido de Groot Design - both its appearance and interiors. The result is an elegant, modern boat with a quality selection of materials and an interesting layout of the cabins. The booth presented a variant with four cabins, each of which has its own bathroom.
The owner decided to install professional acoustics from German Fohhn on his boat. Such system is suitable both for cinema and good disco - for this purpose there are two huge subwoofers disguised as nightstands with openwork grill. If you close all the doors, it will «shake» nobly.
From 70 to 80 feet.
Boat Three: Sunseeker 68 Sport Yacht
Sunseeker boats have gathered a large crowd of admirers and it was not easy to get to them. The Sunseeker 68 Sport Yacht with its light salon equipped with the latest technology is a new addition. Externally», the 68 model is a classic «Sunseeker, fast and sporty. The shipyard has a top speed of 45 knots. Among the important details we would like to note a comfortable staircase to the flybridge.
From 45-50 feet.
Boat Four: Greenline 48
Hybrid Greenline 48, in our opinion, is one of the most successful models in terms of design and balanced in terms of price and quality at the exhibition.
Combining the cockpit relaxation area with the galley is a simple and effective solution. We open the window, lift the folding shelf and get a bar and easy access to the buns, and thus get more useful space.
The boat has plenty of storage space, lockers and lockers. At the exhibition model one of «the huts» was given to the laundry room.
40 to 45 feet.
Boat five: Nimbus 405 Coupe
The long-awaited enlargement of the popular «coupe» line from Swedish Nimbus, in which the shipyard took into account and corrected past deficiencies.
The Nimbus 405 Coupe is a fully enclosed boat, with a wide aisle and a starboard door to facilitate mooring.
From 35 to 40 feet.
Boat Six: Windy 39 Camira
Norwegian Windy has shown several cruise boats, including the premiere Windy 39 Camira with a functional cockpit with sunbed, table, sofa and windbreaker.
Camira has two cabins. But the main thing that is inherent to this boat - seaworthiness and speed - according to preliminary data, it accelerates to 45 knots.
From 30 to 35 feet.
Boat 7: Elan Power 30
The Slovenian shipyard produces not only sailing boats, but also motor boats. For her model Elan 30 she won the European Powerboat Awards 2014. Despite its modest size, the boat leaves a pleasant feeling - the designers used every inch of it with a good sense, without overloading the boat with unnecessary details. This is a very practical, two-cabin boat with high ceilings.
Boat eight: Jetten 35 AC
The quiet «boat» Jetten 35 AC is another winner of the «European Boat of the Year» in the Trawler category. The boat of non-standard design, to get inside you have to go to the upper multifunctional upper deck - it both cockpit and upper control post, from the side this deck looks like a flybridge.
The Jetten 35 AC has two cabins, a bow cabin with an «open» scissor bed (more like a baby cot) and a master cabin aft.
A cozy, robust boat with a steel hull is suitable for couples with children for leisurely cruising in comfort.
