Heesen has launched the 70-metre Galactica Super Nova for the first time from the construction dock in Åsse.

The yacht will be tested in the North Sea before making her maiden voyage to Montenegro for the owner who is planning to spend the summer season in the Mediterranean. She will celebrate her world premiere at the Monaco Boat Show in autumn.

Galactica Super Nova is the largest yacht ever built by Heesen.

The exterior design is by Espen Øino and the interior design is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design.

The luxurious and classic interiors of the Glactica Super Nova have been created by the designers working closely with the owner. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 passengers per cruise. The four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, an impressive VIP cabin aft on the wheelhouse deck and a master suite on the main deck.

The living and dining areas are decorated in neutral light beige tones. The décor is dominated by various types of leather, from stingray leather to soft calfskin, and by stone, in particular marble and onyx.

The highlight of the interior is the central staircase with a so-called crystal lift that connects all decks.

At the forward end of the boat there is a garage for tenders and water toys, which allowed not to save space in the creation of the beach club. Aft on the main deck is a large pool with a waterfall and glass bottom, which allows plenty of natural light to flood the beach club below. Forward on the main deck is a helipad convertible into an open-air cinema.

Glactica Super Nova in Van Oossanen's Fast Displacement hull is equipped with twin MTU 20V4000 M93L engines and an auxiliary engine to power the jet propulsion to give the 70m yacht a top speed of over 30 knots. At 12 knots she has a range of 4,000 miles.
