Grand Banks Yachts announces the start of construction of a new yacht. The 44 Eastbay will have a retro styling that is reminiscent of yachts built in Maine more than a century ago.

The 44 will be powered by a pair of 435 MHP Volvo IPS 600 diesel engines and will cruise at 33 knots (28 knots cruising speed). She is 14.85 meters long and 4.43 meters wide.

The standard layout features two cabins and a roomy storeroom, however a third cabin may be added on request instead of the utility room.

The boat is expected to debut at the Newport International Boat Show in September.
