On Sunday, May 25, the second leg of SCF Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2014 was completed. Leaders of the race from Sochi to Constanta were Royal Helena (winner of class, A), Johanna Lucretia (winner of class B), Akela (winner of class C).

A little later, also on Sunday, the overall winners were announced.

Sailboat «Nadezhda» of Admiral Nevelsky Maritime State University won in two races.

It is a reminder that the start of the competition was given in the city of Varna. From that city the participants went to the first race, which ended in Novorossiysk. From Novorossiysk the training sailing-ships departed for Sochi, where they took part in the festive events. In the capital of the Winter Olympic Games 2014 started the second stage.

We would like to remind you that for the first time SCF Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2014 will be held under the Russian flag.

This year the Russian Federation was represented by four large training sailing vessels - «Kruzenshtern», «Mir», «Nadezhda» and «Sedov», as well as vessels of other classes - Vityaz, Pure Haney, Akela. They were to compete with their rivals from Great Britain, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Malta, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Spain and other countries.

As a reminder, the first round of the Varna-Novorossiysk regatta ended with a victory for the following vessels: in class A, the Russian «Nadezhda» came first; in class B, the Romanian Adornate; in class C, SeaAdventure from Bulgaria.
