The town of Jamestown, Rhode Island, USA, hosted a regatta with the eloquent title Fools' Rules Regatta, a"fool's rule" regatta, on 13 August. The contestants build unimaginable water crafts from anything as long as it is not designed to float. As in any serious regatta, there are classes - from Class 1, where the average participant - a child in a lifejacket, driving a floating sandpit withumbrella sail, to Class Unlimited, where dreadnoughts up to 40 feet reign with crews of many reckless ladies and gentlemen.
