The 55m Amels 180 under the working title Project 496 (after the hull number) has been launched at the docks of the Dutch shipyard in Flissingen.

The snow-white hull and golden waterline will be an addition to the LIMITED EDITIONS range. The Limited Edition was first presented by Amels at the Monaco Boat Show in 2005. Since then the yard has delivered more than 20 Limited Edition superyachts to owners.

«The Amels 180, and indeed the entire LIMITED EDITIONS range from 55 metres to 83 metres, remains very popular," said Rob Luyendijk, managing director of Amels. - We are seeing strong interest in our product range in the Middle East, Latin America and a renewed interest in Russia. Exchange rates have played a role with our US customers, but we believe the key to our success is our commitment to continuous improvement, owner feedback and a constant pursuit of excellence».

The exterior of the Amels 180 Limited Edition was designed by Tim Heywood. The saloon and master suite in this series are equipped with folding balconies. The interior has enough space to comfortably accommodate 12 passengers and 12 crew, excluding the captain.

The Amels 180 boasts an enormous 155 square meter sundeck.

The ship's top speed is 15.5 knots. At a cruising speed of 13 knots, she will have a range of 4,500 miles.
