Italian shipyard CCN-Cerri Cantieri Navali and Swiss Floating Life have developed a 42.5m ice-class superyacht concept.

With a strong steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the vessel has been designed based on Studio Sculli's proven Studio K40 platform, one of whose hulls is currently under construction at the Carrara shipyard.

Named Commander, it has an aggressive and modern look thanks to the extensive use of glass and glossy surfaces.

«The design is eclectic and mixes different approaches," says engineer Mauro Sculli. - The basic principle is a blend of the best of Explorer and traditional yachting, as well as cutting-edge CCN developments».

Commander's layout features several innovative solutions that have resulted in a spacious and airy interior. There are plenty of areas for relaxing and sunbathing.

An entire deck with a master suite and its own foredeck pool is at the owner's disposal.

A second infinity pool for guests is situated on the aft upper deck.

The layout of the main deck is also quite unusual with the dining area forward connecting to the exterior lounge. The aft deck can hold a 10m tender or can be converted into an additional lounge area.

There are four guest cabins on the lower deck and a spacious beach club with bar and sofas. The crew accommodations include a comfortable cockpit and a large galley.

The engineering team paid a lot of attention to the environmental friendliness of the yacht. She will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system.

She will be equipped with two CAT C32 ACERT engines with a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She will have an impressive range of 5400nm which is enough to cross the Atlantic with autonomy.
