One of the most famous and largest sailing regattas, Barcolana, was held in Trieste on Sunday, 13 October . This year 1,562 boats took the start and hit one of the slowest races in recent years - due to light winds only 20 yachts met the time limit and finished. The winner was Esmit Europa 2.
